Nice little spot.
It is right beside the highway but there is a little section amongst the trees that you can park for shelter/privacy. Not the flattest piece of ground but it works. No toilets just rubbish bins as mostly used for a picnic area. Handy free camp between Queenstown and Te Anau.
Garston, the little town just up the road, has The Coffee Bomb - handy for a breakfast treat!

Not a bad hour out on the water.
We were sitting in the front row so was a bit underwhelming. Try sit in the back row to get more of the action. We got to about 90km/hr and did some great spins. I think kids would enjoy this.
I would recommend a beanie/ear warmers and sunglasses. The hand rails are heated so gloves aren't really necessary

Easy quick walk into town or to the lake.
Toilets and kitchen big and clean. $40 for two people. Definitely recommend a stay here.
