6 Aussies in 3 motor homes and had powered sites. Loved it. Great park. Very clean amenities. Ladies toilets and shower block in
Green and pink colour was bright and cheerful. Hot water was excellent . Bath mats in showers was a nice touch. Kitchen and sitting area were spotless. Host was very friendly and helpful. A drive to see the Whangarei Falls is a must. Cost was $36.00 a site.

Wairakei Thermal Valley Campground

We are a group of 6 travelling in 3 mobile homes.
Stayed here just the one night. Great campground. Loved all the animals wandering around. Host was very friendly. Enjoyed his stories. Amenities are old, but reasonably clean. We were in self contained vans so chose not to use showers. Cafe is great. A powered site was a bit steep at $40.00 considering the state of amenities etc. The thermal walk is an extra $10.00. We didn't do it. Camp is set in a nice area. Not far from Taupo.

Stayed here last night and loved it. Lake is beautiful. Hosts very friendly. Amenities very clean, showers had great hot water. Park extremely well maintained. Really enjoyed our stay. Would have liked to stay longer.
