We stayed 2 nights here in Coromandel, such a beautiful spot.
The village is cosy and has some very nice and inviting restaurants, and the holiday park is set only a two minute walk away from the shops. No traffic noise, spacious sites, great lawn. We were there with camper van, but we had a look at the cabins, which looked nice & tidy. Maybe the next time! Great and numerous facilities, very nice and relaxed athmosphere.

Small, but well equipped camp, kitchen a little bit small but tidy.
Showers were very good, powered sites are not huge but absolutely ok (no shadow, at least the front row, but who cares, during the day we didn't stay on the camp ground!), and there's the best fish&chips shop in the region just down the road!! We drove to Allans beach (easy to reach, even with camper van), and saw some cute seals and sea lions, this beach is so impressive!! Later we went to the the see if we could catch a glimpse of a royal albatross, and we were lucky! Don't miss Portobello AND this tourist park!

We stayed here 2 nights, in February 2010.
It was very quiet, as our host told us, it gets really crowded during the events on the showgrounds...We had a great powered site under a huge Norfolk pine, lovely landscape around. Met nice and friendly long-time campers, and since this Campground is huge, we had a walk around, also the non-powered sites were very nice, under very old trees. the main facilities were a little bit far from our site, but we could have parked nearer, and we had at least toilets and showers nearby. Gisborne city is a 10 minutes drive. LOTS of stars to see at night, since the camp is a wide space there are almost no sources of artificial light around....And good sleep, no noises around!!

We could choose the powered site we liked, so we went right to the front of camp, with nice lakeview (and two cute sheeps as neighbours!).
Facilities were clean, I don't remember missing anything. Yes, the campsite is not the newest, but we found everything in good condition, and the location is great, as it's near the lake AND near the village!

One of the cosiest camps in our whole trip!
Open kitchen, funny shower-toilet all-in-one units (very practical! No coins, and the water was HOT!), quiet grounds, old tress with lots of shadow, beach 20 metres away, shops 200 metres away, and very friendly and helpful hosts. We'll stay here again on our next NZ visit!

Our campervan was 15 years old, and still doing a good job!
Interior was clean, great bed, more equipment than we needed. Ok, after one week the fridge broke down, but it can happen (it can happen even with new equipment!), and we were near Christchurch, so we popped in at Budget deposit, and they managed to replace it very quickly. The service was very friendly, we didn't have to pay anything, and the next 2 weeks we had a great time with our campervan. We loved our Hiace and we miss him back here in Germany!!

We experienced 19 different holiday parks on our 23 nights in NZ, and this cosy Park in Murchison was one of our personal "top3"!
Spacious site for our campervan, lovely setting with big trees, clean facilities, great and friendly hosts. Me and my husband had a relaxing walk to the river since we had had a long drive that day, the landscape around is so beautiful. In the evening our host Brent invited the Park guests to join him while feeding the animals (there's an on-site animal farm! Great for children AND adults!), which was fun, the sheep dog is so cute, and the emus are so voracious! But they didn't bite my fingers off.I was very brave. And Brent gave us two fresh eggs for breakfast in return! We will visit NZ again, and we DEFINITELY will stay at this Holiday Park again!!
