Awesome location.
When we arrived the main campsite was really busy. Bit of a longer walk to the fairly clean toilet and outdoor shower. Coin operated BBQ. Would recommend as a base campsite for Abel Tasman.

Lovely inlet setting.
Campsites ($32) are set back from the waterfront, so obstructed views from the car. Nice jetty and picnic tables next to the water. Saw stingrays from the Jetty. Paid extra ($2) for a hot 5min shower (we just shared). Nice walk directly from the campsite to a lovely lookout (no paid pass required).

This was our favourite location after spending two weeks on the South Island.
Amazing waking up to the baby rabbits, ducks and geese! Fresh water swim to wake up in the morning. Peaceful location. Two clean, flushing toilets! Plenty of spaces with lots of privacy. Could not recommend more!!!

Idyllic beach front location with picnic tables, a pontoon to swim out to, and super peaceful.
We tried here at about 5pm to find the six spaces full, and had to go elsewhere - but had success the following day when we arrived mid afternoon. A modern and clean (and non smelly) drop loo. Amazing views to wake up to! Half a point off 10/10 as you have to park quite close to each other, so removes your privacy a little and the pesky sandflies but for the location and views - get there!!!

Carpark location, but it's free!
Its at the end of Nelson Quay. Views over the ocean are pretty spectacular. Amazing brand new toilet blocks with new Dyson hand driers. Two cold outdoor surfer showers to have a shower and wash up. Short walk (15min) to a local fish and chip shop which serves great and cheap fish and chips! Car bays are pretty close together (carpark style) but plenty of spots.

Great experience!
Collected and dropped off at our accomodation before and afterwards. Graham was very friendly and informative. Good rundown of the van when picking it up. No issues with the camper. Was spacious, bed was more comfy than we expected. Plenty of room for two six footish people! All the needed equipment, foldable table and chairs, cutlery, pots and pans, gas, linen and bedding. Could not recommend more!
