A good quiet spot for the night, with mountain views and a gorgeous sunset.
No facilities, but worth it for the peaceful location. Sandflies were a menace once the wind calmed, but otherwise recommend.

Stayed one night, and apart from the proximity to the main road, it was totally fine. No toilets, but a dump station and close to Countdown.

What a find!
There was a deal on when I stayed ($12.50 pn - buy 2nights get the third free) so I did just that. Works out at around $8pn and for that you get great clean facilities and free wifi. Kitchen was very small so didn't use it, but overall this place is fabulous! Definitely recommend.

A great free spot in central Nelson.
Toilets, drinking water nearby, and free wifi. Moved on to a local reserve around 7am to escape the morning truck deliveries and workers.

Huge grassy area.
Not so many flat areas, but fine in a van. Portaloos were clean. A few noisy campers with loud music but went quiet by 8pm. No drinking water so bring your own.

Fantastic place.
Lovely toilets and outdoor cold shower (for beach goers, granted). No drinking water, but there is a dairy. Great surf beach and a bonus of seeing dotteril chicks on the beach. There is a great little walk to a gorgeous beach further along on the coast. Highly recommended!

Stayed two nights and was quite sad to leave.
I had a great spot overlooking the beach/sea and was right next to the facilities. I was there just as Covid was easing. Very quiet. Yes it's a tad run down, but there's something very charming about the place. Nice friendly owner. I'd stay again for sure.

I spent two nights here with hardly anyone else around. The toilets were clean and had toilet paper. Would happily stay here again.

I got a park overlooking the lake. A nice place to bring the kids and has a cute little cafe onsite. Would stay again.

Thought this place looked a bit ramshackle when I first got there, but it turned out to be everything you could want for just $10 unpowered.
Right next to the beach. Clean facilities. Nice friendly folk. A great place for kids to run around and be safe. Highly recommend.

Nice little campground amongst the birds and the trees.
Drop loo problem seems to have been sorted -it was nice and clean and even had toilet paper. Would happily camp there again.
