Friendly staff.
Facilities were ok. Park feels like a carpark, lots of campers packed in. Facilities were cleanish but due to heavy use got a bit dirty. Long wait for one tight dump station. Very convenient for walking to town.

Beautiful views and walks.
Close to Queenstown. DOC pass apparently no longer accepted so had to pay caretaker doing the rounds at night. Basic facilities with long drop toilets - they were clean and didn't smell.

Very basic.
Good to have solid gravel parking spot especially when it snowed hard. Long drop toilets were smelly but otherwise was ok. Nice scenery and the night sky is amazing on a clear night.

One of the best DOC sites we visited.
Only a few other campers there. Toilets were clean and there was water available. The views of the snow capped mountains were fantastic. Short drive through what seemed like a dodgy forest at night was beautiful during the day. 10/10 for views.

Had the place to ourselves. Super friendly staff and a great place to relax and explore. One of the best paid spots we stayed at. The little grocery store was very helpful.

Picturesque spot.
Main camp site closed for winter but the ones open were good. Road isn't too busy at night so road noise wasn't a problem. Toilets flush but shared as it is a rest area as well so not the best we saw. Otherwise good with a few nice short walks nearby.

The drive was great, through lots of farmland. The actual gorge is lovely. Water so blue. Easy walk there.

Great to see sunset. Staff were not rushed. Facilities clean. Tub was hot and relaxing. Great to have a beer and watch sunset.

Views of the lake were amazing - but not from where we parked. First time we had to deal with sandflies. Road noise minimal.
