An unique experience though quite expensive.
The scenic flight by helicopter was cool, but with approx 6 minutes also quite short. Hiking on the glacier with a guide was very nice.

Not if you want to be able to walk into town from your campsite but this secluded campsite has a nice vibe of it's own with spacious sites with great views and directly located at Lake Wanaka.
Ideal for a relaxing stop on the way or to walk or to do mountain biking.

Probably not the best value for money, especially when you're used to European models.
Service is ok though and the car does have automatic climate control. Having automatic gearing does take the fun out of driving the winding roads here, but might be an advantage if you're not used to driving a stick car with the steering wheel on the right hand side.

Just for the thrill, but a good thrill, it was going through shallow waters and between rocks at amazing speed (up to 80km/h) and 360º spins.

Very good, clean facilities and a good reception with lots of information and possibilities to book one of the many activities in the Queenstown area.
Campsites quite close together though and on a large open field with no shelter from the sun by trees.

Entirely not what we expected it to be.
The water taxi takes you from one bay to the other, fast, with boats with 225hp engines. That's good if you want to get to your destination fast, but not if you're looking for a scenic boat tour. Don't be misled by the name "scenic boat tour", it's just a way of getting the boats full.

Less than we expected it to be.
Service was good though, as was dinner and breakfast on board. We were disappointed by the fact that there was not much information given about the fjord during the afternoon/evening (in the morning there was) and that we didn't get to see any dolphins.
