45 minute walk through an ancient forest (after a 10km windy, gravel track) submerging into an epic break in the forest, crazy beautiful scenery, valleys, birds, tree tops.
Well worth the extra drive/walk.

Morning aqua taxi north of Marahau, then a six hour guided kayak tour back to Marahau.
Beautiful scenery, good lunch and a little bit of history/knowledge. Marginally overpriced at $154 per person.

Having seen this years show in Wellington, this exhibition was very much a repeat performance at $24 each.
If I have not been to the show, the costumes are well worth a look. Would have been nice to see some costumes from previous years though. All in all, I would say it was overpriced for a fairly small collection, but awesome costumes. If you are a fan of classic cars as well then it is probably well worth a visit!

Great, cheap, local hot springs in Ngawha, Northland.
Great choice of temperatures and pools. Note: remove all jewellery - will tarnish silver. Wear an old swimsuit, the smells hang around for days, other than that, a great hidden spot.

When there is good weather and good conditions, the mountain is overcrowded and queuing for lifts can be expected.
Average lunch facilities. Beautiful views and great for beginners/intermediate/blue runs.
