Although rather expensive, it is great fun to walk along the movie set of the 'Shire'.
Hearing the 'behind the scenes' information is a great plus. Very friendly tour guide and although I am not a huge Hobbit/LOTR fan, I enjoyed this trip very much!

Nice half day tour.
Interesting history and beautiful surroundings. The big war canoe is very impressive. Also the museum itself is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful landscape, truly amazing colours.
Must do for every tourist in the Rotorua area. Nice, clean park, good pathways, not too crowded (can imagine in summer you will be queuing a lot for a good picture!).

Loved the exposition about how volcanoes work and the geological history of NZ.
Clear explanations and interactive fun (an earthquake room). The Maori exposition and great war place were a little boring.

Lovely lady at the DOC office.
Helped us choose a hike that would offer us beautiful views and sunshine opportunity in between the forest jungle. Amazing flora everywhere and the volcano itself is superb!
