Old but loved, fairly priced, private nooks for motor homes, great for birds, 100m from shops, pub, natural setting, not like a car park, kid friendly, quiet at night, very friendly welcome.

10/10 for ecological responsibility and not being beige.
Fantastic views, great facilities, very helpful owners, what a relief to be in quirky and interesting surrounds, definitely not a beige place, very conscious of being as plastic free as possible and ecologically responsible.

Clean helpful, let us leave our van hooked up while at Stewart Island for 3 days at a very reasonable cost.
Easy walking to ferry terminal, efficient dryers. Quiet campsite, great birdwatching.

Great location, we had gale force winds, but could still find a sheltered corner for a ciggy and NZ Pinot, what else do you need.
Helpful staff, lovely facilities.

View view view, simple efficient facilities, friendly and helpful, fabulous access to the old port quarter and steam punk, lovely jetty walk and easy walk to shopping.
For those seeking privacy stay at a hotel. We enjoyed meeting the people whose breakfast smelled fantastic and invited us in. Love the generosity of true travellers. Loved Oamaru. Favourite place in the South Island.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very lucky to have most things within walking distance and the view is just breath taking

Best view for motorhomes, very large and well appointed ablution blocks, even had music playing for the shy, super clean, efficient facilities great for bird watching, access to the boulders and the best
fishing trip with Kirsten and Campbell.

Very friendly staff in the hotel, cheap and easy place to pullover for the night, not noisy on the adjacent road after 9 pm, wireless available from hotel, fine ablutions in backpackers.

The camping is in a mud pool behind the hotel, you would get bogged in there at the moment in a van, looks very unloved.
