Absolutely stunning park!
Sheep everywhere, a gorgeous waterfall, and a quick 10 minute night walk to see glow worms (included in the price of camping rather than spending $50 in Waitomo!) Would recommend!

There was little to no water pressure in the showers and I'd barely even call it warm.
Also, it was SO windy that we got barely any sleep because we thought our car was going to blow away!

Super overpriced, but there's not a ton of options in this area for cheap camping.
The 30 minutes of free wifi is only for one device per party (even if you pay for more than one person), so use your minutes wisely!

Strangers arrived at 4am.
Did not feel safe. Would not recommend!

Overpriced with just the basic facilities.
Good location if you're going to Napier the following day.

Gates close around dusk so make sure you check the time before arriving!
Nice spot with handy outdoor kitchen area.

Very basic with nothing special, but met our needs.
Sunrise in the morning was pretty and the campground was quiet.

Hot showers with great water pressure!
Make sure to bring a red light or some sort of red plastic to put over a flashlight, otherwise you won't get to see any kiwis ):

Beautiful location but didn't end up staying the night because of other park guests.
Did not feel safe.

Probably the best campsite we stayed at throughout our journey.
Super hot showers with great water pressure, amazing kitchen filled with dishes, and lovely hosts! Definitely recommend!
