I did the 2 day kayaking trip and stayed on aqua backpackers was one of the most expensive trips they run but loved it.
The guides are great, the scenery stunning. Any of their trips is worth doing and there are plenty to choose from.

Although quite expensive, its a pretty inique experience.
The guides were great and the tour around the volcanoes really interesting and impressive. Also saw dolphins and gannet colonieson the boat trip.

do it in good weather to fully appreciate it. i also climbed mt ngauruhoe which was amazing.

Some of the thermal parks around Rotorua are quite expensive but this was under $30.
Brilliant guide gave an interesting tour looking at the different thermal pools etc, plus how the Maori use them. Includes a great cultural performance.
