Were disappointed that we didn't enjoy this as we thought we would!
Coach loads of tourists were crammed through the park meaning you sometimes had to fight to see the thermal attractions.

For 2 20 something campers the van is perfectsize + spec

Brilliant location- easy walking distance to sea + town centre/ restaurants.
Very friendly + helpful staff. One downside was that we had to pay for showers

Waitomo Glowworm Caves

There is nothing else to do in Waitomo except visit the caves.
The caves were spectacular + guides informative but the tours were in large groups with coachloads of other tourists.

Good afternoon out which would appeal to all ages.
Very informative for foreign tourists to New Zealand on Kiwi Flora + Fauna. The guide in Kiwi Encounter was v friendly + knowledgable.

Tiny campsite on bank of Kawhia harbour.
Looked very shabby from the main road but the staff were friendly, the camp had a lovely atmosphere + all amenities.

As good as any Top 10.
go to blue Lake instead of Top 10 in Rotorua. It is much prettier and less smelly.
