The was a great opportunity to get up near the glacier.
The hike itself was not challenging, however, it did provide a unique experience that I cannot say I have experienced before.

I did this walk in the winter when the DOC said that crampons should be worn and I was wearing Converse so I found it very challenging.
The view from the top is very rewarding. I think it would be quite achievable for most in Summer.

Fantastic campground.
Plenty of space, beautiful view from the lakefront that is accessible from the campground! As well as it being close to town if you need to get up early for a tour the next day.

I have been in New Zealand for eleven months and love my DOC walks.
This was my favourite, the cave at the end was amazing and the walk itself was challenging, rewarding and diverse.

Bob’s Cove Track and Nature Walk

The walk down to Bob's Cove is nothing special but if you go down on a quiet winters day (no such thing as quiet in Summer), you will feel as though all of Wakatipu is yours.
