The whole experience and the caves was wonderful - the boat ride over Lake Te Anau was beautiful, arriving at the caves with the sound of gushing water was exciting: the final part in the dark with the
glowworms twinkling above was surreal and magical. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative. Fantastic!!

This place is truly epic!
The drive out there alone was worth it for the views. The hike is not too difficult and takes you on a wonderful landscape tour with an incredible finale. Just WOW!

WOW! WOW!
WOW! WOW! This was an extremely challenging hike for me, but man! it was worth it. The track is varied, exciting, challenging and magical The hot pools at the top are something truly special - especially by starlight!

Interislander Ferry

Our experience of the Interislander ferry was wonderful.
We were blessed with a smooth crossing arriving through the Sounds as the sun was setting. It was beautiful. The ferry itself was clean and comfortable and booking was simple.

Punakaiki Pancake Rocks and Blowholes

This place is a tourist/tour bus mecca, but it does not even matter 'cause it is awesome.
The rocks here are stunning (nature is awesome), but if your time your visit with high tide you are in for a treat. The blowhole is worth waiting for the big sets to come in, but my favourite was the surge pool.

Wharariki Beach Walk

What an awesome place!
We were lucky to time our visit around a beautiful sunset. It is definitely advisable to go here at low tide so you can fully explore the beach and all the awesome rock formations. We missed a bit as the tide was coming in. But it was still a full 10 point visit!
