First time van travellers and very happy.
The old lady gets us up narrow and steep mountain tracks, gives us shelter and keeps the beer cool. Would definitely use again!

As we did not have our van yet, we decided to take the bus to the gondola.
This offered nice views and an introduction of mountains to come in New Zealand. It was a bit pricey though.

Unexpectedly very adventurous and exciting.
You enter the cave on your own (bring torches!) and crawl through narrow passages and jump over pools of water. When you turn off your torch, the glowworms are amazing!

Not a lot of tourists make it up here, it is a long challenging gravel road to get there, but once you walk down to the arches, it is well worth it!
