Not quite as impressive as the commercial thermal attractions but all the same there are bubling mud pools that are worth seeing.

Pretty steep walk up to the top of Mt Iron (which is a 10 min walk from the town centre) so tput your walking boots on!
View from the top is worth the energy lost.

Very well equipped and modern facilities. Good showers which are sometimes hard to come across.

Well equipped campervan - has everything we need but we were slightly misled as to what the price included.

Excellent guide who really knew his stuff!
We had the chance to experience a bit of everything (rock climbing, abseiling and caving). Glow worms were amazing - really good day (even in the rain).

Really good track along the coast, Quite a steep uphill trek for a while but you don't need to be a first class athlete to reach the top!
Not much view of beaches from track but reaching Torrent Bay made it worth it - so beautiful.

Really interesting day.
I was amazed at the variety of colours that nature can creat! Got lots of cool pics and learned a few things too. Lady Knox geyser was good but maybe a bit staged. Oh and prepare yourself for the rotten egg smell - it's quite strong.

Well equipped campsite in a really nice location.
Found staff a little rude to assume that a group of twenty somethings were going to cause trouble before we even set foot on the site.

Nice campsite, close to town (20 min max walk).
Really nice bbq and seating area with fairy lights to create a nice atmosphere in the evening. Cheeky dog begging for food.

Huka Falls Walkway

The Huka falls may be the most pwerful waterfall I've come across .
Good walking track up to the dam if you're interested. We didn't make it that far due to the rain! Good 5 min walking track if you're not into treking.
