Nice girl at the reception, small camp.
Free 250Mb WiFi, not so fast, but free ;)
Facilities are clean, there a laundry, kitchen and communal room; also a dump station which can be useful.
The only thing I would recommend to the owner is to warm-up the bathrooms when temperature starts to fall down, it was pretty cold and after a hot shower you would appreciate not to freeze.
Anyway, nice camp, powered site at $40 for 2 people.

One of the best campervan parks we've been to.
It's nicely located just out of Wanaka, pretty close to the lake though.
Facilities are nice and clean: 2 hot tubs and 1 Spa, free, as for the showers. Fortunately, during Autumn it wasn't so crowded.
Nice girls at the reception who explained everything clearly and concisely so we can enjoy hot tubs before it closes (9pm); Showers & toilets stay available all night long.
At 11pm, "street" lights shut down and you can see the stars by clear sky.
Hi Artemis, Thank you for posting a review on our Rankers page. As of the 1st of May we no longer offer free spas and sauna however they are only a small extra fee and our nightly rate is affordable and competetive with the other parks close by.

Really nice, perfect location, closest to the Fiord.
Facilities are nice and the blocks are warm.
WiFi is $10 for 100Mb which is too expensive but hey, satellite wifi in Milford Sound. Didn't buy any credit though so can't tell about speed/quality.
Campervan slots are nice as well but are very close one to another.
$54 for a powered-site, 2 people. The most expensive campervan park we've been but again : closest to the Fiord.

A really good place with nice owners.
Fees were $36 a night for campervan + $5 for power.
Facilities of the main block are nice, clean; Drop toilets but not a problem, owners explain there too far away from the closest sewage station.
$2 for 4min showers which is long enough even for girls to shampoo.
Last but not least, just next to the Wharariki Beach track (300 meters) and then 20mins to the beach.
++ : far away from light pollution, did capture astonishing milky way picture with a perfectly clear sky.
- : can be very windy
Thank you for your great review, it is pleasing to have reviews from people who appreciate our "wilderness" situation and you are right the night sky, the sunsets and sunrises are magic. We blame Wellington for the wind :-)

Nice lady owner who left us a note at front door of the office for late check-in.
Quiet but the the place could use little refreshment, showers weren't that clean at night.
Unfortunately no WiFi as announced (more over not free), the lady said we had to wait until the morning, but we had to move early. A bit disappointed about that. However still a nice place.

Very nice and clean facilities with everything needed.
We loved the pool & spa.
Owner is nice and obviously loves this area, maybe a bit too much. Gave us the complete advice and tried to get us to stay more during 30 minutes, problem was we just wanted to rest after a 4 hour drive. I must reckon the guy has nice advice to give and to listen to even if he told me my trip-plan was stupid twice :D
We would definitely go back there if in Whangarei area.
Moreover, less than 3 minute walk from the falls.
Free 250MB/person which is enough for 1 night.

Free.
Nice parking near the lake. 3 spots designated but the spots just nearby (where we parked amongst others) didn't cause any problem. 8-10 spots max!
Fine located within Rotorua, toilets at a 2mins walk.

Great location at start of the track.
Very busy even in late March. Had to (re)park away from disrespectful noisy people.
Toilets are there, but sincerely I'm happy I didn't have to use them...
Be there early during summer.

Free.
Did the job. Toilets across the bridge on the left of the parking (3mins walk)
5 spots designated. Public lighting on all night long.
No view or anything, just a place to park and sleep. Calm enough and not too far from White Island Tours.

Nice facilities (might need a refresh).
Staff not so friendly after a 15minute wait at the reception. We were there only to rest after our 27hrs flight so we didn't paid much attention to the surroundings. Chosen only by proximity to airport and city-centre.

3.5/5
Nice place with nice view, calm despite highway proximity.
The man running it is really nice, the woman has a bit of a "commercial smile", seems not sincere.
$4 for shower after Alpine Crossing
$5 to rent a towel
$4 laundry
$2 for 20 minutes dryer (needs 2 to 4 times, don't forget to check the filter : I cleaned it all up after 2 unsuccessful tries)
No wifi
Communal clean but might be too small during summer when crowded.
Overall nice and fair despite side-costs. Hint for hikers : the crossing is popular even at 6:00 AM so you might go later and save some sleep; next time that's what I'll do.

Nice and calm, access by a +/- 3km drive on a gravel road.
Nice beach almost private in March despite many campervans.
Ideal near Cape Reinga. Far from light pollution, did amazing Milky Way shots by clear sky!
Recommended when coming this far north ;)
Free, self-contained recommended. Didn't check any of potential facilities.

4.5/5
Very nice and clean facilities.
Girl at the reception was really nice and helpful.
Unfortunately arrived too late to enjoy the magnificent swimming pool.
Shuttle for the "All You Can Eat" casserole at Roselands ($10/pp) where we had a nice meal.
Wifi is $2 for 250Mb, $5 for 1Gb, paid 5, only used 150Mb, got offered the refund, I didn't ask.
One of our best camping experience in NZ.
Perfect location near Black Water Rafting where we booked Ruakuri Caves (nice ++) and Black Abyss (++++) : a must do when in Waitomo!
