Quiet and quaint location by the lake.
Amenities were standard, kitchen, clean washrooms and organized cabins, camper and tent locations. Staff allowed for self serve and weren't watching over your shoulder. Nice to see the honour system and easy spot to rest before a flight out of Auckland the next day. Would stay again! Only draw back was laundry closed at 9.

Very clean and well taken care of location.
Staff were friendly and facilities were open late and accessible. Big gazebo, multiple bathrooms, big laundry machines and reasonably priced. Central to the city and quiet! We would stay again.

Great for the location.
Close to downtown for a stroll and jump on the Ben Lomond track min from the camp entrance! Good facilities and clean!

Extremely crowded, rubbishy and messy campers seem to choose this location.
Should be warned....if your not there to party, don't stay. Close to bars and very loud throughout the evening to sunrise! Awoke many times to German raves in the lot to drunken antics! Perfect for the young camper on the party scene! Not for us :( did make for a good story to tell!

Beside the train station, lights were very bright and on all evening, blocking the view of the stars.
Basic kitchen and single toilet no sink to wash or showers. Very basic but served the purpose of close to the track. If I were to do it again, I'd stay at the free location down the road and save the $16. Which ended up being $20 so make sure you have exact change otherwise you'll have to overpay.
