This site is perfectly located, spotlessly clean and has plenty of space to park up so that you are not crowding anyone. The staff are extremely friendly and the whole atmosphere of the place is very relaxed. A great place to stay to enjoy Abel Tasman and all that it has to offer.

Katiki Beach North Reserve Rest Stop

It is just off the main highway before you cross the railway line before the Moeraki turning coming from the South.
By the beach and under the trees, a brilliant spot, but we had taken ages going to the lighthouse and around Moeraki trying to find it! Eventually some kind locals directed us to the right place.

This really must be the best site in NZ!
Well kept, private, large pitches and every amenity you could wish for at a very high standard. Don't be put off by the slightly brusque manner of the lady at reception, she just runs a very efficient site. I wish all sites were as good as this.

Moke Lake Campsite

What an amazing location right by the lake!
Bit of a long drive down a gravel track but well worth it. Met by the warden ('Bear') who was very helpful. Great spot for swimming, walking and horse riding - bit expensive but very well run and lovely horses. Probably our favourite spot.
