Brilliant!
Just how a camp should be... relaxed, beautiful, friendly. we loved the cheeky Weka! Perfect for those riding the Old Ghost Road.
Thank you for your lovely comments Freddy, it was great to have you here! While we think we're one of the cheapest camping grounds around for what we offer, we want to make it even better with our new price of 3 NIGHTS FOR $30 PER PERSON! There is so much to see and do at, and around Gentle Annie-you won't want to leave. The Cowshed Cafe/Campers Lounge area makes an ideal place to just take a break, relax, catch up on some emails, Skype with the family, hang out with fellow travellers and plan your next adventures :) We can't wait to have you here! Top 10 things to see and do at, and around, Gentle Annie: 1) Explore the Oparara Arches 2) Charming Creek Walkway-beautiful waterfall 3) Chasm Creek Glow Worm Tunnel (at night time) 4) Gentle Annie Point Maze and Coastal Walk (great spot to watch the sunset and to see Hector dolphins) 5) Heaphy Track (1 hour loop walk at the start of the track) 6) Denniston Plateau (intersting historic coal town with a stunning view) 7) Cape Foulwind Seal Colony (beautiful coastal walk-lots of pups at the moment!) 8) Lake Hanlon (pretty bush walk to a lake with great reflections of the surrounding hills) 9) Have a bonfire on the beach-bring some marshmallows! 10) Bike/walk the Old Ghost Road-world class mountain bike track that follows the Mokihinui River upstream. With the main thing, to relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy your time at Gentle Annie :)

Great camp.
Older style, agreed; but clean facilities and friendly, helpful management. Really nice surrounds close to town, walks and some quality mountain biking nearby.

Horrible!
Worst camp we have stayed in. Noisy (under flight path), dirty room and toilet block... and a seemingly large, dodgy looking permanent resident population living in the cabins... we were refunded our 2nd night with no questions asked (so some good service 😉). The 1st impression of the camp is good... very holiday-like... but don't be fooled!
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with valuable feedback. We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. We have had a groups of orchard workers staying with us at ttimes, and have taken steps to ensure that their presence is not an issue for other campers

Friendly and helpful staff.
Very chilled atmosphere. Dated but quirky with everything you need.
