You need to be keep EVERY fuel receipt and be aware that they will try and sue for fuel contaimination if anything goes wrong the vehicle.
If you don’t speak English or don’t keep your fuel receipts they will blame you, and the mechanics are part of the rort, so be very aware. I’d avoid them but if your budget is tight then just be be cautious.

I'm torn about reviewing this site but it isn't really ready yet!
It has so much potential ... great space and the new owners are lovely. It was very cheap for the night and facilities were clean. They are however in for a big clean up job - lots and lots of mud and way too many permanents that sprawl out like it's a homeless camp. The landscaping needs major work but the new owners haven't had time yet to pull it off. I'd support them and give them a chance - and I bet in 6-12 months this place will be great!

7 if you can use the new facilities, 6 if you can't!
The sites are separated by huge flax which gives sites privacy and some space. The area is great but because of the flax you can't see anything from the motorhome. Feels overpriced for what it offers. No playground. Some sites on gravel but a lot of mud around.

Pretty ordinary looking sites - not level, loads of mud and all the plants looks dead and zero landscaping.
The common rooms and kitchen are great though which made it a nice night. The showers were blocked and the sewer overflowing ... but it was useable. No dumping station was odd for a motorhome site.

Finally a park where the motorhome next door is a decent distance away!
Clean facilities and a trampoline for kids. Very nicely maintained park with no mud and a view! Very friendly operators.
Thanks Vanessa, we are glad that we ticked the boxes for you.

Small and friendly park with a small play area for kids.
A bit muddy but the facilities were clean and competitively priced.
Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately we have had an exceptionally wet winter.

Very central location to a couple of great restaurants and minimal mud for Motorhome parking.
Good space between motorhomes. The play areas were in need of repair and renovation. Facilities small and getting old but ok.
Hi Vanessa, thank you for taking the time to review our park. We are glad your enjoyed your stay in our tranquil park close to town, and we will pass on your feedback to the owners about the play areas. Many thanks

A really great lodge area with a great kitchen and lounge.
The bathrooms were a bit old but clean. The sites were gravel but a bit muddy and uneven. No playground but a good spot to pull in for a nights rest.

Older facilities but very clean and fine to use.
The park has a bit of mud around but solid concrete drives for motorhomes. Sites would be a bit tight if place was busy. Too many permanents to feel like a holiday park but ok for a night. Be warned though that it's a good few km's out of Greymouth... although Domino's will deliver!

We had the site to ourselves which was nice!
It was clean and tidy with level gravelled sites. No playground but a nice remnant forest walk ends in the campground.

Ridiculously close motorhome sites defeating the idea of a 'rainforest' retreat.
The wifi was awful. Facilities were getting older but still clean and ok to use. Gravel sites.

Motorhome sites are a bit close together but that seems in line with every other park.
Paved roads and clean sites and great modern, clean, heated facilities. A good playground. One of only two sites that actually feel like a holiday park where you could potentially spend a couple of nights instead of just passing through.

Modern, clean facilities.
One of only two modern campsites we encountered in the South Island. The Motorhome sites are VERY close together though and you are parked nose to tail, hence a reduced score. This was the most expensive site we stayed in but it also had the best playground and a heated pool. The play areas for kids are abundant and fun ... but there is mud everywhere. A bit of yellow sand would be a good idea to act as a drain!

Heated and modern shower/toilet block.
Kitchen area tiny and the kids playground area very muddy. Too many permanents though make it feel like a caravan village instead of a holiday park. It was very muddy and sites close together.

Probably one of my favourite towns in NZ but my least favourite campsite.
The facilities are very old and I literally touched the van next door we were so crammed in. We had a great view but it was over priced for such a run down park. Lots of permanent sites although they appeared to be holiday sites/baches rather than 'affordable living quarters' that some 'holiday' parks seem to offer.
