Whole day to enjoy the Doubtful Sound by kayaking.
The guide was very cool and experienced and the place unforgettable. High price and far from Manapouri.

Breathtaking place, perfectly signalled and prepared for any kind of walker.
If a sunny day, the sights from the top are awesome.

We chose the scenic tour in the afternoon, only 15-20 people on the boat to share such amazing scenery.
We were lucky to see penguins, seals and dolphins.

Since our arrival everything went wrong: they were not aware of our arrival, shuttle car never appeared, we had to take a taxi and the camper van was not prepared when we arrived.
Our Biggest Mistake in NZ
All of this after 35 hours flying. Once in the offices, we were told that the Platinum Insurance conditions had changed respect the ones we booked through the website (diesel tax not included, one of our main reasons to select Platinum Insurance).
Regarding the camper van itself, we had a lot of problems with the gas cooking lighter, the gas button, the shower head and the grey water valve but the worse was the water heater system breakdown. As a result, we couldn’t have single shower during the whole journey and we have had to go to Holiday Parks. Also during the driving, we noticed some other inconveniences making the journey really uncomfortable: vibrations, noises and direction shaking dangerously.
Back in the offices while returning the shit van, they said they were sorry (though clearly they weren’t and seemed to be used to this kind of complains) and offered us an embarrassing discount enough to make us even more angry.
To sum up, Kiwi Campers (or Happy Campers, same brand) became for us the biggest mistake of New Zealand; I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemies.
