A great place to camp on the West Coast.
Pays to get there early as only a small car park. The drive there is on a gravel road through bush, which is fine if you are not in a rush. Well worth a visit.

A scenic quiet camp ground with great views.
Very quiet despite closeness to main road. Take a short stroll up the hill across the road for good views.

A beautiful spot and great place to stay before going to Milford which is only 1 hour away.

A lovely spot beside the river.
Quite easy to find in the dark. We could access this place in our 6 berth camper, through a sharp angled gate and under the willows. Parked up on the gravel just below the gate, but possibly needed to park up downstream on a grass patch. Not much traffic on nearby road. Wouldn't want to be there in the wet.

Stunning, uninterrupted views of the lake and mountains.
Simply beautiful. If wet, could be slippery on the gentle grass slope, but just park near the gravel road. A peaceful, tranquil spot shared with other campers and the ducks!
