A beautiful spot for our week long camping holiday with a great water hole to swim in.

It was very quiet when we were there but if the camp was full 1 toilet and shower block did not seem to be enough facilities for a crowd. We felt that there should be soap dispensers for hygiene in the toilets. Also allowing campfires was a safety issue for us with the possibility of embers landing on the tents and sitting around outside at night was spoiled with thick smoke. Contrary to camp notices the local refuse centre is closed on Thurs and Friday. We had a great walk to the waterfall at Whanarua Bay not far from the cafe.
