A small family run business.
The equipment is rough and ready but the experience and tour is exceptional. Abseil in the cave, tube around, scramble and rock climb. Of and the glowworms are a sight to behold.

The carpark is easy to find and the walk is well signed.
The Glacier is an impressive sight and the walk feels like your on a mystical journey. However, the weather plays an important part - we walked in the rain but it luckily cleared up. I imagine it is magical when sunny! Overall, a good, easy walk.

Food and drinks were very expensive and there was not enough seating.
Lots of us sat on the floor/stairs.

Smaller, but in my opinion, more interesting.
The rock formation on the walk to the Glacier is stunning. You see rivers and walk alongside ice water running from the mountains - the walk at the end is challenging, but well worth the steep climb.

It is a beautiful place to visit, rolling hills and bleating sheep (like Devon but on a larger, more vibrant scale).
The tour is fun and informal. The pub is wonderful but you are rushed. If you enjoy your beer and country pubs, the evening tour would be better (although expensive).

Huge, sweeping landscapes that you really could not see on foot.
Great horse tips and great humour when keeping us in the saddle.

Great sense of history.
Video, tours and more wildlife than you can shake a stick at. Seal, sea lions and a variety of birds. You do not have to pay for the seals and lions but the Albatross and penguins are guided tours.

If you want to see penguins, come here.
The Albatross Centre in Otago offered a similar experience but for double the price. This area in Oamaru let us see over 300 penguins coming ashore. This was a spectacle to see. I would do the night viewing and pay the extra, you won't be disappointed!!
