We tried to stay here in November 2018.
The gate to the site is chained shut with signs reading that this site is currently closed until further notice.

I stopped here in my camper van for one night when driving north.
It was a querky place with clean toilets and showers, I was the only one there though! Had a big communal area with sinks available for use. It was $15 for unpowered site for one person in a van.

Great short walk.
Up a hill through forest to get to the lake. Beautiful views of the calm blue water all around the lake. Secluded spots for picnics or excellent to quietly sit and reflect.

Small area for tents.
We booked 1 day ahead and got the last spot. Not very grassy but close to the amenities and next to the thermal pools. Worth the money to get the pools included.

Big campsite with lots of caravans parked up there but there was only probably 7 groups of people actually staying the night so made it a quiet campsite.
Showers weren't very good and were 2x50c coins. Great location for a long beach. Good value- $34 for 2 on a powered site.

Tough going uphill forest hike.
Forest all the way but worth the 360 views at the top.

Small quaint town.

Great, quiet campsite.
Lots of places to camp spread out over lakeside and up the hillsides. (Flat areas) Each area quietly secluded. Great free shower.
Just a note - in summer they lock the gate at 7:30 and winter it's earlier so check if you're going to turn up later. Highlight is the glow worm walk after dark- even in the rain!

Beautiful, interesting couple of walks here.
One through cool swampy forest and the other over the beach. Lots of information points, we learnt loads about the history of this area. Spent about 2-3 hours wandering around this unique spot.
