We arrived after five hours traveling from Milford Sound getting there at around 6pm.
The view is amazing. Commercial aircraft (no noise) flying below you in the Gibbston Valley heading for the airport. Not much level ground to park, but we managed. The wind was immense, but such is 2017 summer.

This place is paradise.
Our absolute favourite place to stay of this holiday. If you're into fishing, go up to the canal above the camping area. Wish we could live here.

What a great spot!
Yes the toilet was smelly, but who cares when you have such wonderful views. Plus sleeping in amongst the trees, truly stunning and overall better than staying in a commercial campground.

This place is simply paradise.
The locals said not to tell anyone else :-). The view is amazing & the camp borders with animals grazing the lake shore. Highly recommend.

There were too many campers here, so we chose to head around 500m up road towards Cromwell.
Parked right next to the Lake. Hardly any road noise. Good spot before heading to Wanaka or Queenstown.
