Lovely location, close to the beach.
Clean facilities, kitchen, tv lounge, wifi (but you have to be close to the office to access it). A lovely camping spot.

A lovely campsite, lots of animals wandering around.
Good facilities and a nice place to pitch the tent. Good for accessing Taupo and the owner was very friendly and happy to help with booking activities.

What a beautiful location!
Camped facing the sea just off the beach, it was lovely. Limited facilities - toilets and cold showers but the location is worth it. However they did advise water should be boiled before drinking or not to drink the water which wasn't ideal as we hadn't taken much with us, so be prepared! Down a gravel track but it's not too far!

Cleanest showers of the trip which was nice!
Good facilities. Good kitchen - you can borrow pots/pans if required. You have to pay to use the BBQ. You can charge things but only if you leave them in reception! Individuals plots which was nice.

It was pretty wet when we camped here but they were good at advising where to put the tents up despite the sodden ground etc. What you'd expect for the price you pay.

Moke Lake Campsite

A beautiful setting.
Very basic facilities - showers and a sink area but no gas etc. Quite busy but so much space that it didn't feel over crowded. Camped right on the lake side, ran round the lake in the morning (3.7 miles) followed by a quick swim. Beautiful. Probably my favourite campsite and certainly well worth the drive down the gravel road, which wasn't that bad!

Stayed here on New Year's Eve.
Good facilities, nice kitchen and BBQ area etc. Great little camping spot too, all separate areas so there aren't too many people in one place. Only downside was the noise from the party that went on until 5am, but I'm assuming this was a one off!

Fantastic facilities, a well equipped kitchen (plates, pans, cutlery, everything you need really!).
Even a piano in the dining area. Nice grassy location near the river. Lovely.

A very busy campsite.
The owner was helpful and squeezed us in without a booking (after the previous site had turned us away). A bit too busy for my liking but the facilities were decent.

A beautiful setting near the river.
Good facilities - clean kitchen. Toilets and showers decent too. Owner very helpful - we snapped a tent pole on arrival and he helped us fix it to last the night at least. Lots of flies.

Facilities were good, kitchen, showers etc.
Free 30 minutes wifi. The host was very welcoming and entertaining. Only downside is we were camped pretty much next to the road so every set of headlights lit up the tent.
