INCREDIBLE place! Beautiful champagne pools, nice staff and wonderful scenery. After the visit, make sure to stop at the hot pool (free) just outside of the Wonderland (it is under the bridge).

I was not excited to pay for my van and I to cross over to the South Island, bit I think it was worth it.
The views coming into Picton were unbelievable. Make sure you bring food with you. They do not let you into the car area once the ship is moving.

A beautiful hike through a lush forest, then to the top of the Pinnacles.
You can stay in the hut (I did) and it is incredible. Beds, showers, toilets, kitchen, heater. It was a great experience.

A hike that takes all day.
You hike up, down and all around the coast. The ending brings you to Bethells Beach. If you do it on the weekend, the cafe is open and you can end with a cup of coffee and a snack.

So many people!
I got there without bus reservations so hiked half way to the Red Crater and then turned around. I recommend starting later (after 11 or 12) after all the others who are hiking the whole thing have passed through.
