A lovely historic elevator which took us on a short ride to a nice lookout.
Nice guy (operator) and quite cheap ($2). Before the ride you are walking through a tunnel to get there. Very nice activity if your trip brings you to Whanganui.

Nice welcome and the handover of the van was without any problems.
A lot of papers you have to read and sign. Van was clean, fully equipped as expected. Overall a really good price/value balance. Would rent here again.

One of my personal favourites!
A really nice combination of mud pools, geysers and other bubbling sources and the Maori Culture. Our guide did a really great job! Definitely a must do!

We stayed at Anakiwa and walked until the lookout point.
Very stunning view over the Sounds, really lovely!! Sometimes the walk is a little squishy, but that is part of it.

Perfect additional activity to a day in the Rotorua area.
Relaxing in the hot pools in beautiful surroundings! If you are camping there as well, you can ask to use the pools early in the morning! Best start to the day!

Before we collected our campervan, we took the Intercity bus to Paihia.
A very lovely area - the Bay of Islands! This is a full day trip with a boat including dolphins, a romantic bay (including stop), the Hole in the Rock and the captain with a lot of interesting information. If you go to the North, do this!!
