The lady at the reception wasn't very friendly.
The camp sites are not very nice and super tiny. We got there on a very busy day so we had to queue to use the bathrooms and the showers were not hot. Still a good location to explore the wineries around.
Apologies if you felt you didn't receive a nice welcome. Our showers do get busy, especially in the peak season, and because they are free some people tend to take advantage of this and shower for a long time, ideally 6 minutes is sufficient, however short of installing timers, which we are reluctant to do, sometimes the cylinder doesn't have enough time to rapid boost again.

One of my fav campsite in the South Island.
Facilities are very well maintained. Great location for a walk on the beach at night and also to access the glaciers the next day.
