We had a generally good experience with Campa South.
Graham picked us up at the airport in Christchurch and took us to his home. We did the paperwork there and were briefed on the van. The van pretty much matched my expectations, clean and well used. We had 3 adults, which is a challenge for this type of van. We knew this going in, and it actually worked out fine. A lot of cooperation is the key, would be a fine choice for 2 people for sure. Mechanically the van was fine, a little tough on the downshifting. And there is a lot of downshifting on the South Island. We had a fantastic time there, just a wonderful place! "Bessie" did a good job of getting us all around on many challenging roads. Graham met us and drove us back to the airport, the pickup and return of the van were both very easy. Thank you Graham and Campa South.

It was a very good effort for you to cruise around the South Island with your family and we're so glad you enjoyed yourselves.
Perhaps you'll be back again and do the North Island next, although, why would anyone go anywhere except the beautiful South Island anyway?

I would give this trip an 11 if I could.
We were lucky, with great weather, and a pod of bottlenose dolphins who played with us for around 15 minutes. Beyond that, our guide, Adam, was friendly, well informed, and fun. The preparation phase was well done and fairly quick, and nice gear is provided. Milford Sound is a fantastic place to kayak, we loved it. We did the Sunriser Classic, it is a good trip. The groups are small, only 4 kayaks plus the guide in our group. And did I mention dolphins? A lifetime peak experience!
