If your a freedom camping ready surfer this place bangs!
Doc site with heaps of room with on off beach access to other pitches. Beautiful location with sea lions and pumping surf. We did New Year's Eve here. Busy but still lots of space. Great vibe.

Excellent campsite if you like beach dune pine forest.
Basic but everything is here except a shop. Big site, great beach and estuary. Great for kids with flying fox and playground.
If you surf it's convenient for Hickory Bay. Great surf with sea lions and Hectors dolphin.
We will be back.

Solid 9 for location and 7 for facilities.
Small campsite almost perfect location by the lake literally a stones throw. Facilities rustic and basic but clean as a whistle and everything works. Very friendly and helpful staff would definitely stay again.

Clean with reasonable facilities.
No view and small flat pitches. Didn't really get this place. Close to Nugget Point.

Stayed here heaps and they just keep raising the bar.
Heated pool clean smart kitchens BBQ's, play ground bouncy castle, bike service station, the works. Only reason it's not a ten was they didn't spray the grass for Onehunga (prickles) so you couldn't walk barefoot in the grass.
Not a big deal.

Ten minutes off the main drag with a bit of gravel to a flat camping area of about an acre of grass with three gravel bays in a regenerating native bush park.
Long drop loo with no toilet paper or water.
Very short walk to a beautiful series of bends in crystal clear water with multiple pebble and gravel banks and swimming hole options.
Magic.
