All in all, a good site.
$15pp for tent camping. Hot showers included, and use of a very good kitchen area with utensils provided, and fridge/freezer. Unfortunately we had constant torrential rain. We, and another fellow camper, tried to dry our tent in the seating area within the kitchen building in the morning but the man working there very abruptly told us to remove our tents and showed no empathy whatsoever for the situation. (The other camper was a cyclist and was completely soaked through, tent included.) The man's attitude was shocking, and tainted our stay. Worth a visit, and good value for money (except the man!).

Fantastic spot for camping before the glaciers!
2 grassy areas to choose from to pitch tents. Gravel area for cars/vans/campers fills up so be there earlier to ensure a spot if in a campervan. Works on honesty box system. Tables and benches on grassy areas for eating etc, and two large areas under shelter to hide in the rain! 2 longdrop toilets - a bit smelly but perfectly fine. Great spot. 10/10.

Great spot for an overnight stay in a tent or a vehicle.
Unfortunately we had A LOT of rain. There is a small shelter area which we cooked our dinner under. LOTS of sand flies - but with insect repellent and covering up it is ok. Works on an 'honesty box' system and is a DOC site. If the weather had been better we would've done the walk to Lake Douglas which begins here.
