This DoC campsite beside beautiful Whites Bay is in a stunning location.
The facilities are simple (new flush toilets and cold showers) but is well maintained and worth the $8/head camping fee. The beach is just beautiful and looks very safe for swimming and there is a range of walks to satisfy all. Don't miss the glow work grotto. Friendly Camp Hosts ensure that everyone pays up and keep the place clean and tidy.

Wonderful small camping ground beside beautiful Cable Bay.
Ablution block and kitchen spotlessly clean even to the extent of fresh flowers in the ablution block and hand towels supplied there as well as the kitchen. Free WiFi worked well in our plot half way down the ground (necessary as there is no cell reception). Lovely cafe a hop, step and jump up the road but be aware it closes at 4pm so get your glass of wine before then. Wally and Wendy Weka keep all amused. A very special place well worth the detour to/from Nelson.
