Nice massive falls.
The colour of the water is beautiful. A tip: you should start the dam walk. After 2 minutes you get a nice view of the falls without all the crowds.

If you do it clockwise you will start with the "hard" part. DOC office & water taxi ($50) on the road.

Expensive but worth.
Nice walk on the volcano with basic explanation. If you want to stay outside in the boat take a waterproof jacket. Lots of sick people. Stay outside in the middle of the boat!

Almost nobody in October. You can park at the end of the gravel road. You can also swim in the lake at the beginning of the road. At least 2 m deep.

Very nice walk full of different little paths with cliffs and rocks.
Perfect to relax after the Great Walk.
South Island ▷ Fiordland ▷ Te Anau ▷
2.5/5
True for all the doc place from Te Anau to Milford Sound : Price is $13 per person in November.
For long drop toilet and a ground full of holes it is a bite expensive. The rangers check everyday. In some of places you can do a fire. Not for all of course, in case you are able to burn the water.
