Parking nice lakeside in the fishing area.
There are toilets and washbasins, it was clean enough. Cold outdoor shower, it gives life !! Free spot. To land before attacking the Tongariro !!

Two nights in the parking lot of the marina in front of the boats.
Many locations. It is conveniently located near the centre not long driving back to town. There are two toilets with sinks, thoroughly clean as used by people from the marina.

Free campsite with several outhouses.
Grass floor with trees. There is also an available electric barbecue all the time. The corner is easily found if you have the application and GPS otherwise there is actually no panel. Nice stopover for one night!

One night with a van and two people: $20 in all.
In the morning people DOC came in to see those who had not paid. There are toilets and washbasins, not very very clean since it's a public place ... Parking is at the lake, it's pretty nice. In the grass there are picnic tables. They are now building around the lake. nice spot.

It is quite far from the centre (6km) and the shuttle stops to 20:00 hrs therefore not possible to go eat in town at night.
Otherwise it is well equipped like all other Top 10.
Thank you for your review. We have added additional shuttle times to accommodate our summer guests and there is always the option of catching a green cab back from town if you are wishing to stay later than our shuttles run.

We spent a night here after Hobbiton.
The campsite for vans is managed by the hotel, which also manages the golf course. They were super friendly. There is a restaurant and bar on site. For the campsite, there are a shower. It's a small grassy park with lots of trees. And all for $ 10 per person !! Top.

To rejuvenate after the Tongariro.
Top 10 is nice and well equipped as almost all top 10 elsewhere. The showers are actually super nice with wooden decor. The common rooms like my kitchen and the lounge is nice.
Thank you for taking the time to place feedback on our property. Yes the Tongariro Alpine Crossing definitely is hard work, but our Park is the perfect place to relax. We hope we can welcome you again in the future.

Huge campsite with lots of dry toilets.
But way too expensive now !!! $ 13 per person. This is the last before Milford Sound. There is room for shelter if it rains. People DOC actually go around ALL vans! All campsites are the same price before Milford.

The view is amazing !!!
Near Glenorchy and Queenstown. On the edge of the lake. From Queenstown it is left just before the bridge.

One of our favourite free spots!
The view is just as beautiful in the evening than the morning. There are dry toilets with paper. Only 4 places for vans, but we did like everyone else and stayed on the large car park which is 15 meters from the 4 places. For a free night at Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove no better !!

Campsite weird ...
We had indeed a cold and rude welcome, but the campsite is nice. But perhaps a bit too much. Everything is PERFECT but so that it's weird ... So there is no charm but if you are looking for clean, you will never see elsewhere cleaner !! Everything is square. Many clean showers and toilets and kitchens. $ 38 for two people with a van and electricity. Funny point there are herbs and salads arranged in a flower box for campers!

To go to bed and get up with a great view, go here.
This free campsite wins because access is earth and stones. It moves a little but it is done well. There are actually two outhouses among trees in poor condition but it helps out. Things to do for free!

Campsite on top!
We arrived late and there was no one but it works on the principle of an honesty box. So we filled out the form and paid $ 14 per person with a van without electricity. + $ 2 for wifi! The pitches are nice and give mostly on the ocean beach, the class !!! The bathrooms are fine. There are plenty of facilities for entertaining. The kitchen and dining room are nickels. The fun thing is the two showers in the dining room, but it poses no concern since it is closed.
The hall where the showers are situated has never been closed in living memory other than for cleaning 11 a.m. - 12, plenty of time outside that hour for showering I would have thought.

One night here for $ 4 for two people with a van and electricity.
Super nice. Sauna and two jacuzzis included !!!! Common premises at the top with barbecue area and kitchen and dining room. Great place to see Wanaka.
Hi Greg, Thanks for your review, I wish that I could say it was only $4 for a site for two people hehe, our rates are live on our website, depending on the season and number of people. www.wanakakiwiholidaypark.nz
