Excellent campsite to stay a couple of nights and recover from jet lag.
Quiet whilst we were there loads of space. Minimal traffic noise if you camp by the beach. Beautiful long beach. Glow worm caves and museum near by excellent.

Would have been 9 if no mice.
We had minimal sand flies and loved the views. Another camper mentioned having trouble with a mouse and one got in to our campervan somehow causing poor sleep over night. No sign of it after we left. The direct walk to the lake was great, good swing bridge. The tramway walk was very boggy and marshy though.

Beautifully situated campsite near bush land and an estuary.
More bellbirds and tuis than I've heard anywhere else. Now 200mb free wifi. Good showers well equipped kitchen with log fire. Sandy beaches with sea lions plus nugget point with yellow eyed penguins and waterfalls near by. We are staying 3 nights and doing day trips as a break from a month of moving around
