This DOC campsite is the most expensive we stayed at.
$13 per person with the only facility being a drop toilet which you don't use if you have a self contained campervan with a toilet. So what are you paying for compared to the others which are generally $6 per person? Probably the view... it is a big campsite compared to the others we checked out along the way. The creek and mountains are very pretty and mysterious. No service out there and very peaceful. Glad we chose this site for the serenity.

Owner very nice and helpful.
The grounds are well groomed and the kitchen and bathroom were clean and of a good standard. There was plenty of space too, we stayed here one night then decided to come back a second night we liked it so much and it was so central.

The view you get here is absolutely stunning.
It is worth every cent you pay and you can get a powered site right next to the water. The facilities itself are ok and clean. There is an old section to the shower and a new section over the bridge, however both require you to pay for the showers which is $1 for 6 minutes. Not enough if you need to wash your hair etc... I thought this was disgraceful considering the amount you pay to stay there, but as I said the views are worth it.
We are so glad we stayed here. It was one of our favourite places.
