Great central Queenstown site for campervans.
The sites aren't too close together, but it is compact and quite busy, as it's a central town holiday park. We stayed 3 nights, and it was a great location: less than 10 minutes' walk into centre of Queenstown, plus not too loud. Great facilities, clean, and very quirky, with lots of 'found' art sculptures everywhere. Good showers. It rained really solidly for a day and a half, so we can say the drainage was really good! The staff were nice, and the wifi was fine: as others say, only 100MB unless you book an activity through the park.

Good city campsite.
Not completely central - half hour walk to town amenities, but fine as a base or one night stay. Good bathrooms, with great showers. Good wifi and not too close to other campers. The dump station is in a bit of an odd place, which means you potentially block others while you dump.
Thank you for your review. I'm pleased to hear that you found our showers great and that we had good wifi.

Very good facilities, as you'd expect from a Top 10.
Clean bathrooms, though perhaps not enough toilets and showers for when the park is really busy? Sites are gravel and functional; quite close together. But you can see the mountains from the park, and the kitchen and wifi is good. Good position for getting into town for glacier expeditions. Good washing machines and driers.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is great to hear that you found our facilities good with clean bathrooms and that you enjoyed the view of the mountains.

Stunningly beautiful spot to camp near the lake, looking across the mountains.
Only 3 other lots of campers there in October. Peaceful, and a good, clean flushing toilet.

Great, peaceful and huge campsite.
Really lovely staff attitude. Decent wifi, and good showers; though you do have to pay $4 for 6 minutes. But there are lots of toilets and showers. Short walk to Kaiteriteri beach front, and amazing beer and food in The Beached Whale.
Hi, thanks so much for your comments, and yes, we think we have a great team here too! Just a note, showers are .50 cents for three minutes, so just $1.00 for six minutes, not $4.00, now THAT would be expensive! We are back from the busyness of the Kaiteriteri beach, and a ten minute walk on the road, or a lovely 15 minute bush walk to the beachfront. Thanks again, appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Quite small city campervan park.
Good toilets and showers, but I imagine not quite enough when it gets full. You're all quite close together. Nice BBQ area. Half an hour walk from the train station. Wifi was a bit flaky.
Thanks Nadene for giving us some feedback, with the wifi we have had issues with an aerial hopefully it is all fixed now.
Thanks

Nice, quite busy, DOC campsite.
Ok flushing toilet. Close to Wanaka. Not really any flies, but it was windy and rainy.

Functional free camping spot in the city.
Convenient for the ferry, and tons of other campervans there. Decent, quite clean two toilets for quite a few vans. Also a bit of a distance from where you can free camp. Some road noise and planes, though the planes stopped at night.

Very quirky but brilliant place to camp in your van.
There's half a dozen powered sites, and more unpowered. Beautiful location, and the food and Guinness in the pub is excellent. Great staff, and good clean toilets. There's a shower you can pay to use. No wifi. There were guys going to work on the roads first thing, and also two roosters who start at about 5am! But worth it for the decent price.

Good functional stopover spot.
Stopped one night on our way between Fox and Wanaka. Gravel sites, good wifi, and excellent showers, and clean toilets and showers. Free showers, but only two of them, so that could be a problem if busy. It is a windy site, by its nature, and not particularly picturesque. But good stopover, when not too busy.

Really pretty, and convenient, holiday park.
Campers not parked too close together, and we had a lovely view of the lake. Toilets and showers were clean and good quality; there's a 6 minute limit on the showers, but they're free. Was a bit busy in the bathrooms, as it's unisex while they refurbish the other set for the summer, I assume, but still fine. Good wifi, and only a 15 minute walk into town, and also less than 5 mins to the hot pools and to the start of the Mount Cook Observatory track. So a great location.

Amazingly peaceful spot in November.
There are only a couple of spots with the view, and it's 5pm-9am as others say, but the view is stunning. And so quiet. No toilet, so self contained only.

Really beautiful freedom camping spot, with relatively clean, 24 hour toilets.
Can't beat the views, and quite peaceful, even though it had filled up with campers by 7-8pm.

This site is ok.
It's quite close to the road, and has a lot of permanent residents, so is quite full. Toilets and showers are the best bit; seems like they've been recently renovated. You do have to press a button for 5 minutes of hot water. And no free wifi: only some you can pay for. Functional site.

Amazing freedom camping spot.
No facilities, so you need to be self-contained, but beautiful spot where you can watch geysers across a lake, while the sun sets, and then wake up in the morning and go to Orakei Korako. Only 2 of us camping there in October.

Good facilities here: kitchen and bathrooms good.
It was quite busy in October. Not particularly picturesque or peaceful, but family-friendly, and close to town. And you have to pay for wifi.

This place has a great location, next to the lake, and they have spades for digging your own hot pool next to the lake.
But the park is quite busy, and it feels quite dated. The showers and toilet are fine: just feels a bit dated. There's a few hot pools, but again, they are a bit dated. Convenient for sightseeing in Rotorua, and the staff were very helpful. Some free wifi.

It's in a beautiful, reasonably quiet spot, and doesn't have huge amounts of powered campervan parking, so it doesn't feel overcrowded.
Spacious powered sites, decent facilities. But the best bit is the free access to the thermal pools, with beautiful views, and the amazing walk to the spring. Highly recommend.

Very peaceful campsite, and easy to find.
Top quality toilets and showers, and free wifi, which is what you expect for the price. Right in Waitomo village, so great for cave tours, and not too busy in October. Hot pool which is also nice for a dip. There's also a great restaurant next beer that does local craft beer, which is highly recommend.
Thank you for your review, Nadene. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to this special area, and even got to try the local beer. We look forward to seeing you again another time.
Cheers,
Jenn

It is quite close to the main road, but we were lucky and had a powered site on the far side away from the road, and facing the lovely sunset over hills and fields, and couldn't really hear it.
The facilities are very clean and of a good standard: bathrooms and laundry. You have to pay for wifi though.
