We have hired a few camper vans over the past few years and I was'nt really impressed with out JUCY Cruiza.

-I wasn't very happy with the CD player/radio. I had brought a number of CDs along to listen to on your rive around NZ, however it doesnt sound too good when you can only hear it through one distorted speaker. Ok so it's not the end of the world, but I would not have taken the van if I had known that in the first place.

-Secondly, the fridge stank from day one, It smelled absolutely disgusting. I attacked it with all kinds of cleaning substances 3 or 4 times but couldnt get the smell out. It was bad enough that we tried to avoid opening the fridge.

-The table is absolutely useless, it rocked back and forth meaning you couldn't put anything on it. I wrapped the post in duct tape to make it semi usable, though we could only place anything right in the middle.

-The bed had a tendency to collapse, kind of important when trying to get a good night sleep.

-Lastly, the microwave door would not stay closed. Which was fantastic if you didn't much like the big glass plate inside it. After a speedbump at Fox Glacier the door opened unknowingly and next time I put the brakes on, the big glass plate exploded across the floor. So on dropoff I had to pay $45 to replace the plate.

These may not have been the biggest issues in the world, but when your on vacation and you spend a large sum of money on a campervan, your expectation is not to have little things like this happening. Considering the number of rental companies in NZ for hiring campervans and the quality if the vehicles available, and the many positive campervan experiences we have had in NZ and AUS, these kinds of issues to us were unacceptable. That was my last vehicle from JUCY, I should have paid a bit more and gone with one of the other guys.
