This holiday park was clean and well maintained.
It had great facilities - large kitchen area with a range of appliances, great children's areas, and warm showers. Initially, our view of the bay was really a hedge, but we moved 2 spots over the next night for an unobstructed view. The pool was a nice feature but very cold. Despite these small details, we really enjoyed this park.

We enjoyed our stay at this holiday park.
The open air, yet covered, barbecue and sitting area was perfect for prepping and enjoying meals as a family. The kitchen area was quite small, but functional. We also appreciated the small grassy patches near campsites. The holiday park was a short walk to town centre. There were not enough toilets, showers, and laundry facilities, but they were clean and private.

This was a beautiful park - probably the cleanest one we experienced.
It had a well equipped, warm, and inviting kitchen area and ultra clean showers.

Our rental process for and travel in one of Scenic NZ Motorhomes campervans was fantastic.
Billy and Cheryl were very helpful with early booking arrangements, shuttling us to and from the airport, quick responses to campervan questions during our holiday, and making great recommendations for our travels. The campervan was in great condition and provided all of the comforts that our family needed. We would not hesitate to rent from them again.

This holiday park was practically situated in Franz Josef town.
Campsites, although gravel, were surrounded by trees. Not much for outside sitting area though. The kitchen area, although small, offered a warm fire and a cozy dining area. After a long day's travel, we arrived late and decided to have dinner at the restaurant. Service was good, but the food was terrible and overpriced. The showers and toilets were not well maintained - not a pleasant experience. We were also looking forward to a soak in the included spa tub, only to learn that there was one small crammed spa for such a large park. It was also closing by the time we arrived and we were unable to reserve the private spa. This "retreat" did not really feel like a retreat at all.
