Lovely little walk through the forest to see a beautiful waterfall and it was incredible to see the seal pups.
Go late in the evening, not so many people - actually we were alone!

The path is good and plenty of friendly locals doing it daily to say hello to.

Excellent location and cheap for the amazing facilities!
Loads of kitchens and bathrooms, a chill out area with dvds, unlimited hot showers and friendly staff. Well worth the $14 each for an unpowered site. Wifi is $5 extra but showers and free. Has good laundry facility too $3 a load. Well worth staying here!

Great free location with clean drop toilet.
No tap for water but a stream nearby. Area to cook and bbq but it was being used and busy when we were there. Looooaads of sand flies so make sure you have repellant!!

Really professional, stunning scenery with a fantastic view, of course, great staff.
Expensive to not get at least one photo included - almost $200 extra for footage, in my opinion, taking advantage. In Argentina, some footage was included.

What an incredible camp site!!
The best we have stayed at in New Zealand so far for FREE!!!! Free wifi which was so good we even got to watch so TV online. Super clean drop toilet with lights on the path down and inside. A swimming hole. Each space has its own picnic table which is awesome for cooking and chilling. Free electric sockets so you can charge all gadgets, super tidy and beautiful surroundings by the river. The guy Don is lovely too, really welcoming and informative. Would 100% recommend and we want to come back again!!

Incredibly secluded hike, starts off flat, over river and through a beautiful forest into the snow, it felt like a fairytale!
Then beautiful views of the glacier. We did not get too close as we did in the winter and were not too prepared for all the snow.
