Fantastic stop over.
We went out of our way to find this and not at all disappointed. Only about 6 other campervans and motorhomes. Huge grassy area by the river. Next to NZ Bare Foot Skiers Club. Stayed on a Thursday night so very quiet. Enjoyed watching a few boats on the water but they had left by 8pm so no noise. Strictly self contained only. Please respect that.

Difficult to find.
Just follow map and you will eventually find camp spot. We did this. It seems to be behind the community centre next to the recreation field. Large gravel area. You must be fully self contained as no facilities available. We were later pulling in (6pm) as had had a long drive and no one here.
