Wow. A hidden gem.
An opportunity get up close and personal with kiwi in their natural environment is not something you get everyday. Forget the tourist traps, here's the real deal! Great camping either powered and up the hill, or un-powered and down by the water. Great facilities and a beautiful location. This is a great experience for young and old.

A great family campground to explore the Coromandel and Coville areas.
There is an attractive beach but don't expect to swim as it's very tidal. Nice facilities, friendly staff, tidy, Wi-Fi and only 5 minutes to Coromandel.

A great afternoon for the whole family.
Our kids are 2 and 4 and while they were too young for some things, they both had a great day. Don't forget your togs (swim suits) as they've got an old school swimming hole that looked like a lot of fun. Good coffee too.

Easily the most picturesque commercial camp ground we have been to.
Very expensive, but worth paying more for. This place is unique in that there are no rows like most other camps so it doesn't feel like a commercial camp ground. It really feels like you are staying in a large park. You take a very spacious spot around the outside of the grounds or under one of the many mature trees. The playground was out of action but it appears a lot of work has been done here over the past year and this might be a work in progress?? Beautiful native landscaping, lots of huge trees to shelter from the heat, lovely beach across the road, great nearby walks and friendly staff.

A great camp ground with brand new and excellent facilities.
This place has a real buzz and atmosphere due to the wide range of campers staying here. If you're travelling with kids ask for a spot near the well equipped playground - all the families are here and the sites are larger. Make sure you try the fantastic hamburgers at the back of the well equipped shop. As the camp ground is so new, some parts of it feel a bit dry and barren. There are lots of trees and plants but they are all still so small and a dry summer wouldn't have helped. The owners have gone overboard with too much gravel which helps to add to the barren feeling. This will however, be a beautiful campground as the plants grow.
