Car park at the end of the road with nice toilets.
Amazing view, definitely the best free place to stay before or after the ferry. Can fill up quick. 4 out of 11 places were occupied in September. Watch were you park. Only at the end are campsites!

After a 10 km gravel road with 7 meter van we were in heaven.
We had the place with 10 other guests, our own field. Nice ranger keeps everything super clean told us
that up to 890 people can stay there so we were very lucky! Stayed for 2 nights and had nice hikes. Gate closed at night. Has showers but cold.

Place next to a very quiet road at the sea side.
Amazing views and toilets near for free! Much better than the places in Akaroa itself. Road to this spot is narrow but ok with 7.5 meter van. 20 minutes from Akaroa.

It is a spot near the road and trains.
Good for a night passing trough. Toilets and shower clean though cold space and no heater. Used the washing machine which was 3 dollars.

Good place for stopover when passing trough the Lewis Pass.
It is a field next to the river. Sheep take care of the grass it has poo so watch your feet! Shower and toilet in cubicle hot shower 6 minutes. 10 dollars pp is cheap. If you want powered it is 5 dollars more.

Nice place to stay Nice walks around.
Toilets dirty and no water so only self contained. Can be a bit windy. Beautiful and peaceful we were there alone. Road is ok with 7 meter van.

The site itself was not special facilities are ok, free hot sower and 100 mb free wifi.

Nice place with ocean view.
The toilet and shower building was old and could use some maintenance. Shower was nice and free. Perfect place to walk up to view the bay and walk to the boulders, we left the van at the site since the check out time was 1! That was nice.

Idilic powered site for a night between Queenstown and Milford.
Nice lady who welcomes you. Your own little bathroom/toilet unit clean and washing machine avaliable for free. Good cellphone reception.

Site is ok.
People are nice. Facilities clean with warm kitchen. You pay for the view, it is spectacular make sure you see the sunrise from here! Did not use the shower since they were $2.

Perfect place to stay.
Amazing people and the facilities are the best we have ever seen as in a good hotel. TV room and kitchen has everything and all the spaces are nice and warm. 2 people, $38 dollars powered is a good price for what you get. Walking distance from town centre. We stayed 3 nights!
