Great peaceful spot with clean facilities.
Lots to do! A short walk to the beach. Bike or walk around the adjacent regional park. The bush is full of bird life. A lovely spot to sit and relax and enjoy reading my book. The ranger is very friendly. There is a dump station across the road. The bonus is you can stay for more than two nights.

Love this spot.
Safe swimming and great walks esp over to Martins Bay. Plenty of birdlife and interesting old homestead to wander around. A lot of work has gone into the upkeep of the grounds and surrounding farm/walks etc.

Stayed here about 6 months ago and enjoyed this spot.
However we turned up a few days ago to find the signs had been moved now only space for three vans max. There were two parked in such a way there was no space for us and the ground had been churned up as it was wet and soggy. I get the feeling the local council don't want us there. Pity as we support the local shops when we are there.

We enjoy this spot.
The local pub has friendly staff and great service as does the shop. Good coffee in Tapu! One or two of the local residents are not so friendly and one actively attempts to antagonize. However we have found the majority will stop and chat and welcome us to share their spot of beautiful coastline. The site is not flat and dips badly leaving very little space for more than three vans. Beware to not park on the level beach front as you will get a fine. The signage is a little misleading unfortunately and many think the sign on the beach front means one can park there. All that aside it is a nice spot to enjoy a couple of nights to fish and swim or kayak. Thanks Tapu businesses and those locals who welcome us.
