Good location by the beach just North of Auckland.
The whole site looked a bit tired compared to the others we have used on this trip. The facilities were not that clean. The staff were friendly though.

A gem.
The bay, river and beach look idyllic in the winter sun. Other reviews say it gets crowded in summer and even in winter there are seven other vehicles here. Other sites on this trip have had one or two. Walking back to the flushing loo by the bus turning area is a top tip.

An immaculate park.
Quite expensive but very good facilities and Russell is a popular place. We went in late August so almost had the place to ourselves. Difficult to fault if you want an organised efficient camp site.
