Very nicely situated, well maintained campground with beautiful kitchen and beautiful grass sites, a 5 minutes walk from the Tutukaka marina.
Yes, hot showers cost extra but we got coins for that purpose upon check in from the reception (one free hot shower per person). I also don't see any issue with enforcing the check out time - 10 am is standard, and probably a lot of people abused their privileges before. Alas, no internet.

Beautiful, well maintained campground with incredible sites right by the water.
Kitchen, barbecue, laundry and bathrooms all clean and in good shape, even if somewhat dated. Easy walk to the nearby Countdown supermarket (5 mins) and to Paihia (15-20 mins). We ended up staying here for three nights because we liked it so much. Also, they welcome late arrivals - just pay the next morning if you missed the check in time in the evening.
